Dusty County Roads!

Yakima County needs to do something about Chambers Rd south of Toppenish! It is not a gravel road anymore - it's dirt! It gets so bad, especially this time of year during harvest that you can not see 50 ft in front of you if you pass or are following a vehicle. The dust "boils" into our yard everytime a car passes in front of our house. We CANNOT open any windows. We CANNOT go outside our house, heaven forbid try to BBQ! The dust is so thick that it fills your nostrils. Today I saw our neighbor literaly RUN to their mailbox and back before another truck came by. This road services alot of people. There are alot of us living on this rd. It seems to be a busy road for more people than who just live on it. It is a short cut to the Mt Adams golf course and Hwy 97. In the Spring we get a THIN layer of dust ebatement, which lasts maybe a couple months. Then the county comes and grades it JUST BEFORE the trucks start running. This is rediculous! It just creates MORE dust when they grade it. They want us to approve a 20 dollar on our vehicles . . . hummm will that get anything done on Chambers - I bet NOT.

maybe they need to oil the road down to control the dust.
