Feedlot Odor, Dust, and Mistreatment

The Van de Graff feedlot in Sunnyside is not properly running the feedlot and creating a lot of dust in the air. The feedlot's smell and dust is very bad and they only have 10,000 head, in years past the feedlot has had 40,000 head the dust and smell was never like this and it is only winter time.

The cattle are also being mistreated and the pins and not being cleaned out properly. Cattle can often break a leg in the manure slop that is currently up and over there knees when they try and move quickly. Something needs to be done this is very much animal abuse.

Please help several people in the area are sick and tied of the dust, odor, and mistreatment.

Why don't you research who actually is running the place instead of posting names that are not correct on here. sad to see animals mistreated, but don't name people who are not responsible.

There must be something done and done fast, it is not fair for the animals to live in that mess. Lock that feed lot up and get help for the animals.

Well all you have to do is watch Food Inc to see the mistreatment of animals for our food consumption. Ya, it smells. But our demands for meat is causing ranchers to produce, produce, produce. We need to stand up and demand better.

The feedlot is being operated by Horse Heaven feeders, not the vandegraffs

This is a horrible scene. Can you imagine the health problems this is causing the cows? You know it can all be passed down throught the food chain. The owners should really care more! All I can say is that I am happy to be a vegatarian.
