Are they going to come crashing in?

I noticed our "horizontal icecicles" first, from our kitchen window. When I stepped outside to take a picture, I noticed that there are more at the front of our house. What I find most interesting is, not all of the icecicles are horizontal. Only the ones in front of the windows are. The kitchen window faces North, and the front windows face the West. Can someone explain?

Possibly the wind coming from the north as the icecicles are forming tend to make them freeze in that direction.
