Flames were being blown horizontally as firefighters fought to contain this massive blaze. Power was out for a large portion of the city for hours. The Interstate was clogged with drivers trying to record this event. With thousands and thousands of trees in flames right before their eyes who could blame them. Police tried to keep people at a safe distance while giving firefighters room to do their job. Neighbors and Yakima citizens gathered across the street to see the flames reaching 100 feet in the air.
Officials on the scene expect this to last for days.
