The story started out to be a pictorial look at the parade from a parents view only to go south when the Firemen in the paraed had to divert into a building for an emergency. The parade didn't miss a step as the guided around the parked Fire trucks.

There were a few other hickups, a float breaking down, and a couple of marchers having to drop out along the way. Others really came to the aid to push the dead float or to offer water to the fallen marchers and watch them to make sure they were ok.

All in all I thought it went great, from a parent's point of view that is..

I thought the Parade was Wonderful this Year. My Son, Kevin is a Sax player for Franklin Middle School and We Enjoy seeing him Participating in Our City Special Events...Yakima had a lot of Turnouts in the Sun Fair and I think that's Super Fantastic

The parade was awesome. The weather was great, I really enjoyed the drill team groups with the drummers. They were the highlight for myself and kids. They are a great group of young performers.
