While surfing the net, and being in a hurry, I accidently clicked where I shouldn't have. Within one day I had over a hundered "junk e-mail" in my inbox! The next day, the amount doubled. I started to send them to my "junk" box. Then I started to click on them to "unsubscribe" them. It worked.....partly.
All of the "legitimate junk" has gone away. 99% of the junk e-mail I recieve now, does not have an unsubscribe button, and they are from people that want you to help them out by cashing a check for them using your bank account. (No, I have not fallen into THAT trap!) Or they want me to partner with them in a crude oil sales project under the umbrella of the National Petroleum Agency of Sao Tome and Principe, or something simular to that.
Recently I removed some "parental restrictions" on my daughter's home page so she can surf a little easier. One day later she had over one hundred "junk e-mails". My daughter DID NOT join anything without my permision, or "accidently" click where she shouldn't have. THE JUNK E-MAILS JUST SHOWED UP! My daughter is 12 years old, she should NOT be recieving e-mails about VIAGRA, or the like. I'm 44 years old, I don't like recieving e-mails about viagra!
So.....How do we get rid of these "scaming junk e-mails"? Is there a website we can send these to, so these scams would stop or at least slow down?
Do you think congress would do something about this if we ALL send these "scaming junk e-mails" to them?
