A Cat Named Taco

We got Taco in the Fall of 2008. He was a stray kitten that ended up at the AM/PM on 6th Street. After seeing him almost get hit by a car pulling out of the gas station, I walked over and called him, "Here kitty, kitty!" He started running towards me and I noticed he was thin. I turned to my husband, Robert, and asked if we could take him home. He reluctanly nodded and I told him he could name the kitten whatever he felt like it. Robert ended up naming him Taco, because that night the wind was just right and you could smell Taco Bell down the road, and someone cooking tacos down the street. Plus the poor thing had gas and amazingly it smelled like tacos! Taco knows his name and responds to it well and he's stayed with us ever since.
