Fall is the most beautiful time of the year on the Columbia River. This photograph was taken just above Vernita Bridge as the sun came over the horizon. The smoke from the fires in the area gave it a very appealing hue. It doesn't matter whether the fish are biting or not, this is what fishing is all about.
