I was doing housework when my husband came in and told me there was a Hawk outside. Therefore, I grabbed my camera and found him sitting on a light post just several yards from my front door. I took a picture from my porch, I wanted to see how close I cloud get to this Hawk so I had taken a few more steps closer, and raised my camera taking but yet another picture. Then a few more steps now I was only a few feet away, he still stood there proud, while I was able to take one more picture. This Hawk just looked at me. He was out for the hunt and it is all he had on his mind.
I could tell he was not afraid. He was huge and amazing; I have never been so close to such a beautiful bird such as a Hawk. I was hoping to take a picture of him in flight, but he was not budging at all. I stood and just watched him for a while and then was able to see him spread his wings and fly. The only thing was sad my camera had run down and needed to be re-charged. Just my luck, I wanted to share these pictures with you for I had so enjoyed watching this magnificent bird as he sits so stern and proud.
