The Ahtaumum Trails Clean-up Volunteers

Local ORV enthusiast work to keep the trails open.

The All Wheelers Off Road Club and with cooperation from the DNR had a trail clean-up at the Ahtanum State Forest on Saturday July 28th, 2007. They meet up at the Ahtanum Sno-park at 10AM. They had 14 Volunteers and 3 DNR people helping on this clean-up. They split into groups and hit the trails. A few of them cleaned up the logging mess on the Blue Lake Trail and re-Green Dotted the trail. They all met back up at the Ahtanum Sno-park at 5 PM with a lot of trash they had picked up a long the trails. The All Wheelers Off Road Club has another clean-up planned there for July 26th, 2008.

There are many ORV clubs around the state that help out at their closest or favorite ORV areas to help keep the trails open. From picking up trash to repairing any damage the trails may have. You can find out more about these clean-ups and a lot of other ORV information on the Eastern Washington Off Road forum.

It is good to hear that there is a orv group willing to help with the clean up of our forest . It is too bad there are not more users willing to do this.If there was less of our land would be closed to the public.
