YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA learned $20 million will be spent to fix roads in Yakima, Zillah, Sunnyside and more.

It's money from the feds that can only go toward major improvements.

We had a number of shovel-ready projects in the Valley ready scoop up un-used cash.

"It benefits our region, it benefits the state as a whole by removing the risk of losing the money say to Nebraska," said Executive Director of the Yakima Valley Conference of Governments J. Page Scott.

The YVCOG said it will determine next month what new projects will be funded.
