Sindi Sizzles Dairy Queen Athlete of the Month

Great, our teams going to state. Many others came very close this spring.....

Including this team, and, it's star, very special and cool as a blizzard.

Our action news sports dairy queen athlete of the month.

Thorp Easton played its heart out this season......best in many years......making it all the way to the district finals, living on the arm of Sindi Morrison...no quit in this senior, logging more than 150 strikeouts in 100 plus innings for the Cats the past two springs.
Harry Pratt "she's one of the most competitve kids I've ever been around. Being competitive. That's what drove her to be. Have a little bit of success for us. And, she loves being out on the softball field. I don't think there's anywhere she'd rather be to be honest with you."
( team huddle )
It's all about team at Thorp Easton. There is no question who is the leader of this team. Sindi Morrison is the top Cat. She's earned that honor, in the classroom as well. With above a three point grade average...ready to carry on her fastpitch career at the community college level before completing a degree in teaching....or physical therapy. Something Sindi, and her family know all too much about. Three surgeries on her ankle.....the brace to make sure she doesn't need another...to say Sindi's overcome a few obstacles would be just a little bit of an understatement.
Sindi Morrison "my sophomore year I was in a boating accident. A rope hit me in the right eye. I'm blind in my right eye. Other than that I'm pretty healthy. Are you happy? Yeah. Is she a good pitcher? No, yeah. You got a little support. Yeah...ha, ha..."
( taken out of game.......applause...)
