Dust Devils And Bears Start Road Trips

Most of the Northwest League teams enjoyed their 2nd off day of the season on Sunday.

And now things are going to get interesting.

Over the next 35 days, all of those teams will play 34 games...and those games will determine who makes the playoffs.

On Monday night, the first place Tri-City Dust Devils opened up a 5 game series in Eugene.

And I'd say this is a pretty good start to the road trip as the Dust Devils get the 14-1 win.

These two teams will continue their series on Tuesday night.

The Yakima Bears also kicked off a road trip on Monday evening.

The Bears are a league-worst 3-16 away from home this year.

Monday, they opened a 5 game series in Vancouver.

And the Yakima offense was almost totally non-existent.

The Bears get a total of 3 singles and only had 6 base-runners all game.

And they open up their series in Vancouver with a 5-1 loss.

The Bears and Canadians will be also back on the field on Tuesday night.
