Prosser Prepares for State Semi-finals

Trying to down one last piece of pumpkin pie.........so full........so full of thoughts for the coming weekend.

The Prosser Mustangs digesting Saturday's game plan against Centralia in the state 2A semi-finals in Tacoma. Undefeated, and almost untouchable until last weekend. The Mustangs' margin of victory had been three touchdowns until their quarter-final encounter with Archbishop Murphy. And, a down to the last second nail biting victory for the Stangs.

Tom Moore "last week we played abouty as bad as we could play in the first half and overcame a lot of obstadckles and the kids kept coming back and what was really neat was that they didn't get on each other, nobody was pointing fingers or anything and everybody just sucked it up at halftime and came back and played a lot bettert and we made plays when we had to and we're still playing and that's really all that matters right noow."

Bubba Hancock "I think it was a reality check for us and if our offense isn't clicking, our defense can step up and if our defense is slacking, then our offense usually picks it up in the scoring department, so it was a really good challenge for us and I think it just is going to make us that much better for this week and following week."

with a win over centralia at the tacoma-dome saturday....the stangs will be right back under the same big top in t-town a week later playing for their first state title in seven years.
