They came, they battled. They got so darn hot. But, they loved
it.

Feel good yeah.
That's how you cool down kids from the west side of the mountains on our sizzling hot side of the hill. Nearly 20 teams here this weekend for the innagural mountain northwest grid kids jamboree at Marquette Stadium. Many of the youngsters from the seattle area....visiting our valley for the first time in their lives I guarantee you until sunday, these ten and eleven year olds from auburn had never before played in 103 degree heat.
Shaun Lafferty "we're not quite used to this heat at all. Good for them. Or too much? It's good to play in the extreme weather, handling it pretty well."
You guys hot? Yeah. Too hot? No. Having fun? Yeah.
the big fans blowing hard..........the little football fans squiriting their favorite guys......plenty of cold drinks on ice.....to beat the heat....triple digit temps.....add the full pads....and, you've got yourself a youngster on the medium rare side.
How they doing in the heat coach?
Auburn Coach "doing good. Keep them hydrated. Just like Auburn? Yeah, just like it, ten degree difference, humidity. Ready buddy? "
the guy in charge of this tournament from west side told me this team in light blue from burien.....and the rest will be back over here for this tournament again next year.......when it'll be bigger, better....and yeah, maybe even hotter.....
Coach You guys did an excellent job. Did you have fun? That's what it's all about.
