Fever Beat The BattleWings

The Tri-Cities Fever won a thrilling 48-44 come-from-behind victory over Bossier-Shreveport. The Fever jumped out early in this game and led 14-7 after one quarter of play. J.R. Thomas caught 2 touchdown passes from quarterback Josh Kellett to give them that lead, but the Battlewings fought back and outscored the fever 21-7 in the second period. Wide-receiver Chavis Mcollister scored 2 of his 4 touchdowns in the quarter and the BattleWings led 28-21 At the half. The Fever were behind by 13 points on two occasions in the 2nd half before they came back. Lamonte Jones scored scored twice in the half on a 1-yd run and a 15-yard td reception. But the go-to man was Thomas. He caught 10 passes for 132 yards and four touchdowns including the game winner. The Fever are back in action on Saturday when they play undefeated Spokane.
