Inner City Yakima Kids about to kick off new soccer league.

Always happy to give a shout out to the Parker Youth and Sports Foundation.......

A generous bunch of folks who award grants to local sports groups....and facilities.

Dedicated to keeping them alive in our area.

Parker Youth to the Rescue again.

Indoor soccer at Madison House near downtown Yakima......in a tough neighborhood where youngsters can have a tough time finding a safe place to participate in after school activities and sports. Carol Finney with Parker Youth handing over the first of two checks that will total 54-hundred dollars for a cool new Madison House soccer program. Sure to make this holiday season... a little brighter for a lot of kids in this area....

Carol Finney "This will help them with balls, equipment, suplies, t-shirts. And, will also help pay for referees and student coaches."

Kevin Deyette "By this grant we'll be able to provide two leagues. An indoor league for 80 kids, outdoor league for 100 kids. Inner city kids, eastside kids. Get them playing into something positive. Partner with a couple of area schools. With this leagues for us. These kids will have to be at school, have good grades. Stay out of trouble in order to participate. This is going to have a good impact on our community."

The new year will kick off the new soccer fun at Madison House.....thanks again Parker Youth and Sports Foundation for making this Christmas wish come true.
