Yaks' New Star on the Hardwood

The trouble with being number one? That big target on the back.

Brandi Henton, one of the most exciting players to have suited up for Yakima Valley in many years.
But, not even 34 points against Clark could keep the Penguins from upsetting YVCC in Yakima this past weekend.
The Yaks' first setback of the season. Another monster performance by Brandi.....averaging nearly 30 a game.
The standout transfer from Division One Long Beach State has the big school scouts champing at the bit.
Long Beach, not a very good hoop program and not a good fit for Brandi.
So, the standout sophomore packed the suitcases and brought her magic to Yakima.
A lot of other talent of course on this top ranked Yaks team as well.
YVCC, now 5-1, tied for the best record in the conference.
Looking to get back on the winning track at home Saturday against Linn-Benton. Go Yaks.
