Richland and Chiawana Earn Wins at Home
TRI-CITIES – The Big 9 soccer season is just a couple weeks away from post-season play and many teams are stepping up their game.
Out in 4A, the two top teams in league faced off, with Richland edging out Moses Lake 3-2. The Bombers scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the game with a strike from Katherine Virden and another from Allison Boynton.
Chiawana hosted Davis in battle for mid-level teams. The Riverhawks held a 2-0 lead at the half, but the Pirates responded with a second half goal by MacKenna Morton off the corner kick.
However, Chiawana responded less than five minutes later with a goal from Sophomore Hannah Stock to give the Riverhawks the win 3-1.
Out in 3A, Southridge handles Kennewick 8-0, and Pasco earned a much needed win against Eastmont 3-1.
