Dick Borton......99 years old. The godfather of Apple Tree Golf course still got game. Got the game going at Apple Tree today. The 14th annual Children's Miracle Network Tourney. 250 kind folks doing the golf thing on a beautiful September afternoon in the Valley....for a beautiful cause...
Wendy King "A lot of players tell us every year this is the best tournament they play in. For the kids. Good times, good cause. Good times, good cause. and, all the golfers are out here to have a great time."
I know a shovel couldn't hurt my game. The unique Ace hardware putting tools just part of the fun at the local Children's Miracle Network Tourney. Just a great example of the giving corporate sponsors who make it all possible. A good chunk of the prize merrchandise and the 40 grand raised at this event.....with all the money staying local for kids causes at Memorial Hospital and Children's visit...comes from corporate pocketbooks.
