Cougs are big favorites in opener.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Washington State coach Paul Wulff is being
low-key about his team's opener with Idaho State on Saturday.
Wulff says the Cougars have improved but now must prove it on
the field in Pullman on Saturday.
While Idaho State was one of the worst teams in the
lower-division FCS last year, Wulff said the Cougars will not be
looking past them. Wulff says the Cougars can only control their
own play, and will be looking to elevate their performance.
Washington State was 2-10 last year, while Idaho State lost its
final 10 games to finish 1-10. The Cougars have never lost in 15
games against FCS opponents.
