Yakima Valley swimmers make a splash at state

TACOMA, Wash. -- Only one TV station there covering the biggest weekend of our local kids' lives -- state wrestling and swim championships in Tacoma and Federal Way.

This is what they've been working up to since they first got in the water as babies. All grown up now and making the valley proud.

Selah led by Nolan Frampton and West Valley making a big splash in the big Olympic pool, a top ten finish for the Rams in the team standings.

Kian Hausken for WV nearly a state title, with two second place finishes -- just behind the record setting winners.

The same story for Prosser's  Will Burgett. A pair of seconds, also just beaten out by a pair of best ever firsts.

On the board, two top ten finishes for Naches Valley twins David and Daniel Whitmore. David in 5th -- his third straight in the top 8. Daniel, a best ever 7th. Taylor Alexander from West Valley 12th.

Congrats to all our outstanding local athletes at the state pool party.
