SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks will open the season at home against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 4, the NFL announced as it unveiled its schedule for the 2014 season.

It'll be their first regular season meeting since the infamous Golden Tate catch that some dubbed the "Fail Mary" play two seasons ago that saw the Seahawks pull out a 14-12 win over the Packers in week 2.

From there, the Seahawks go on the road to play the Chargers before returning to Seattle and a Super Bowl rematch against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 21.

The Seahawks will play four games in prime time, including the season opener against the Packers, a Monday Night game against the Redskins on Oct. 6, a Thanksgiving night match-up against the 49ers and a Sunday night tussle with the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 21.

The Seahawks' bye week is early this season, coming in week 4.
