SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks secondary has just sustained another big blow as a report from NFL.com states Brandon Browner is facing a multi-game suspension for violating the league's policy.

The initial report from NFL Media columnist Mike Silver said Browner violated the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs, but Silver later retracted that declaration, stating the violation was for the league's substance abuse policy.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is Tweeting that Browner's suspension will be for one year and he is appealing: Silver is also reporting that the Seahawks are now done with Browner, who is a free agent after the season, and are reaching out to sign veteran Antoine Winfield.

On Sunday, NFL.com reported that Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond will also serve a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse (Non-PED) policy.

The Seahawks have the NFL's best record at 10-1 and face the New Orleans Saints next Monday night.
