Is the Wildcats' replacement coach the permanent boss?

Is the Wildcats' replacement coach the permanent boss?
Did former Central Washington football coach Blaine Bennett buy booze with public funds?

Did he violate University procedures before getting fired?

There are documents that say yes. Bennett says no.

It's still all headed for the courts.

The CWU Nation really wants to move forward and get on to dealing with a very important issue for the future of Wildcat pigskins.

Central aiming to have a permanent head coach hired by Christmas.

No names have officially been mentioned yet.

I'll throw one out there.

A lot of smiles on the faces of CWU's president and the University's Athletic Director greeting John Picha after the Cats exciting come from behind victory in their last home game in Ellensburg.

CWU President, AD and Coach laugh

Interim head coach Picha's Cats have bought into his leadership since taking over for Blaine Bennet, fired just before training camp and have reeled off four victories in a row. Now, at the top of the league standings, the Wildcats can win their way into sole possesion of first with another W over Azusa Pacific at Tomlinson Stadium this weekend. Although Picha's not officially announced his intentions to seek the job as permanent boss......if Cwu stays on track and wins another GNAC football title it's going to be a tough argument against extending his duties as head coach.....minus the interim asterisk.
