Spokane Shocks the Tri-Cities Fever

By Ryan Harris

The Tri-Cities Fever lost a heart-breaker to the Spokane Shock 55-51 Sunday in the Toyota Center. The Fever came out on fire taking the early lead over Spokane, and sustained it for the entire first half. At the end a controversial call was made by the officials. Larue Burley intercepted a pass at the goal line and ran it back all the way for an apparent touchdown that would have given the Fever a 37-21 halftime lead, but the score was taken off the board after a double personal foul on both teams. Spokane would use that play as a spark in the second half and beat the Fever 55-51.
