White peacock found roaming Boise neighborhood

BOISE, Idaho -- Some might be used to walking up to the sound of a crowing rooster, but when residents in a Boise neighborhood heard a loud screeching bird call they knew something was up.
Donna Nelson was enjoying her breakfast when she heard the noise.
She went out into the street and spotted a white peacock sitting on her neighbor's roof. Nelson tried to call several animal organizations to come get the animal, but she said there was nothing they could do.
According to the people she called there were no reports of a missing peacock. Once our cameras showed up the bird came down from the roof and began flying into other people's yards.
"I could tell that it was pretty close by because he has been loud all morning, but that's the first time I've seen it jumping over the fence and it's a pretty cool deal," neighbor Bryar Mcklveen said.
According to neighbors the bird hasn't been bothering anybody so far, but they are worried about dogs that might try to get at it.
