BELLEVUE, Wash. -- There are apparently a lot of cougars in Bellevue, but we're not talking about the actual animal or anything directly related to Washington State University.

According to dating site CougarLife.com, Bellevue has more older women seeking younger men than any other city in the state.

The site says Bellevue wins the top "honor" based on that they have twice as many cougars per capita than any other Washington city, and cougars in the city on average date three times as many younger men as runner-up Tacoma.

"What was once an older predatory woman haunting college bars is now a successful, independent woman who needs a younger man to keep up with her," says Claudia Opdenkelder, who runs the dating site.

There is no word if the city plans on erecting a plaque at the city limits advertising the fact.
