More Than 100 Acres Burning Near Umtanum Creek
KITTITAS COUNTY -- Department of Natural Resource officials say someone caused a fire that's burned more than 100 acres near Umtanum Creek Falls.
That fire started early Thursday morning at the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area and was still burning Thursday evening.
Two helicopters had to fly over to work on the blaze.
The area has no road access, making it difficult for crews to contain the fire.
