UPDATE: Missing boy found safe
YAKIMA POLICE NEWS UPDATE -- On 4-20-13 at approx. 0810 hrs The Yakima Police Department, working closely with the Yakima School District, was able to locate the child. He was found at a friend’s house where he had spent the night without his parent’s permission. Parents are reminded to ALWAYS coordinate their children’s activities with the other parents involved. We often receive reports where a child has told his/her friend’s parents that they have permission to stay when they actually do not. This causes a burden on the police and school district as these cases are taken very seriously and many man hours are spent on them.
