Yakima woman killed by multiple gunshot wounds

EPHRATA, Wash. (AP) — The Grant County coroner's office says a Yakima woman whose body was found by a hunter near Mattawa was killed by multiple gunshot wounds to her head, torso and extremities.

The office released results Wednesday from the autopsy on 42-year-old Carmelita Lopez Santos. Her body was found Oct. 16 at a fish and wildlife access area near the Columbia River.

Grant County sheriff's deputies arrested 35-year-old Jose Abilion Aguilar Aguilar of Mattawa on Monday for investigation of murder. Investigators say he was upset she broke off their relationship.
