YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima is getting national attention after city council voted to ban pot businesses in the city. And, some of it is going to a local minister.

Rosetta Horne came out in support of the ban during Yakima's last city council meeting. She was mentioned in a New York Times article.

She's being interviewed for an episode of Antonio Mora's 'Consider This' on Al Jazeera America on Thursday. Horne said she hopes to see more cities make similar moves to ban pot.

"Until the federal government gets the message to every state of America that it is no, we're still not home free," said Rosetta Horne.

Horne will appear on the program Thursday night at seven.
