Deputies: 78-year-old Yakima realtor injured in assault
YAKIMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S PRESS RELEASE -- On May 25, 2013 the Yakima Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person who had been assaulted at a residence in the 17000 block of Summitview Avenue. The victim, later identified as Vernon Holbrook, age 78, was transported by ambulance to Yakima Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Harborview Medical Center with head trauma.

The victim is a realtor and was out in the late morning showing homes in the Cowiche/Tieton area. When he failed to keep later appointments co-workers became concerned and looked for him, finding him at the residence on Summitview between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.
