YAKIMA, Wash. -- Heavy equipment will likely be brought in to help get rid of snow in Yakima but only at the airport.

City council is expected to accept a federal grant worth $437,000.

The airport would spend it on two pieces of heavy equipment.

Airport Manager Lee Remmel said the machines could not be used on city streets even in an emergency based on the nature of the grant.
