YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima kicked off a massive street project Monday to resurface 90 miles of pavement.

Work began on sections of 40th and Lincoln Avenues. Crews surveyed the streets to record the location of lane dividers and utility lines underneath. They spray painted the spots where they'll dig.

Yakima is spending $15 million this year on resurfacing. The city hopes to finish by fall.
