Yakima gangster's head grazed by bullets
On 09-12-13 at approximately 2256 hours Yakima Police Officers responded to several reports of gunshots in the area of the 1200 block of S. 3rd Avenue in the City of Yakima. Two subjects were seen running through yards in the area after the gunshots were heard.

While police were searching for the two subjects, a resident in the 1200 block of S. 5th Avenue called the police and reported her residence had been struck by gunfire. Officers contacted four people at the residence in the 1200 block of S. 5th Avenue. Two females and a male stated they had been at the residence at the time of the shooting. The fourth subject was not at the house at the time of the shooting.

The 22 year old male subject who had been at the residence at the time of the shooting said he had been about to enter the house when two males dressed in black approached him and fired several gunshots at him. The male was struck in the head and torso. The two wounds were grazing wounds from the gunfire and he refused medical treatment. The victim was a self-admitted gang member and was not cooperative with the investigation.

The two females who had been at the residence were unable to provide suspect descriptions. The residence was struck several times by bullets during the incident. Officers recovered several bullet casings in the street near the residence.

The case was forwarded to the Yakima Police Department’s Detective Division.
