YAKIMA, Wash. -- More money is on the line to bring more flights into the Yakima airport. Some big bonuses could be possible for the consultants.

A new contract being considered lower their monthly fee, but increase incentives. They would get $5,000 for adding another flight to Seattle or for securing new service to Portland.

A bonus of $40,000 would be possible for service to Salt Lake City, Denver or San Francisco. There seems to be some confidence among Yakima leadership.

"We're definitely heading in the right direction," says Yakima Economic Development Manager, Sean Hawkins. "More and more people are using our air service. Which is, that's what it's going to take to get that additional fourth flight."

City Council is expected to vote on the new consultants' agreement Tuesday night.
