Yakima County students attend job fair
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Hundreds of Yakima County students attended a job fair at the Southeast Yakima Community Center on Monday. The program offered 100 jobs for 100 kids.

The job fair offered mock interviews, as well as resume and application coaching. Students who attended are eligible for placement into summer jobs. The program had over a hundred volunteers, employers and mentors to help out. Last year the program was successful in placing more than 100 kids in summer jobs.

“I’m just looking to get more experience for jobs and kinda try to get a first job or look at colleges," said West Valley High school sophomore, Anthony Briceno.

Students who missed the job fair can contact David Rolfe from Safe Yakima Valley for any opportunities still available. They can give information on different places students can apply.
