Want to go fishing? You're only allowed 2 salmon
WASHINGTON STATE -- If you plan on going fishing this month, there are limits in place not seen for decades.

You're only allowed to catch two salmon a trip.

Hundreds of thousands of salmon swim up the Columbia River this time of year.

Fishermen try to take advantage of it.

But authorities say a lot of them also snag fish that are endangered.

Wildlife officials worry other species will take a hit.

One wildlife employee says he's never seen these type of restrictions in his 30 years on the job.

The new rules will last through the end of the month.
