Union Gap library won't reopen for years
UNION GAP, Wash. -- City Council meetings will now be held in the old library building.
Union Gap had been using the youth center, but say the library is more central than the youth center.

The library closed last year after the city found mold in the building.

Union Gap won't have a library again for years until a new City Hall is built.

"I believe a community has a duty to its citizens to provide access to education and information and so my hope is that the city will find a way to come up with funds for a library," Alan Geho said.

Union Gap residents can use Yakima libraries for the time being.
