UNION GAP, Wash. -- Union Gap had their first meeting to discuss plans to revitalize downtown on Monday evening.

The first step is to create a task force made up of various members of the community. They hope to have designs for phase one completed by June of next year. Main Street and Ahtanum Road will be worked on first.

The city has already secured nearly 5 million dollars for the first phase through a combination of city, state, and federal money.
