Two canyon murder suspects will have separate trials

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Two suspects in the Yakima Canyon double murder investigation will have two separate trials. Prosecutors agreed to give Heriberto Villa and Marco Gallegos separate trials. Villa will continue to claim PTSD at the time of the murder.

Gallegos's trial is slated to begin July 14th. The two other suspects in the case have signed plea deals and will testify against the two in each trial.

Two men were found shot to death in a car near Roza Dam in 2012. Investigators believe it was drug related.
