Troopers: 3 hurt in Highway 97 crash near Toppenish
TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Several people were hurt in a car crash Thursday morning, troopers said. It happened about three miles south of Toppenish on Highway 97.
Troopers said a car failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a semi in the northbound lanes of Highway 97.
A 32-year-old woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. A 28-year-old Toppenish man and a 37-year-old woman were taken to a Yakima hospital. No word on their conditions.
The driver of the semi was not hurt.
Charges are pending.
