Testimony continues for Yakima real estate agent murder
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Testimony continued today for the man accused of killing a Yakima real estate agent. Daniel Blizzard is charged with first degree murder for the death of Vern Holbrook.

The realtor was found badly beaten last year in a home in Cowiche. He died months later. Prosecutors focused on the chain of evidence in the case today. A forensic scientist explained the importance of an orange box cutter.

"Why did you take that out of all the other items you saw in the trunk?" the prosecutor asked.

"It had red, brown stains on it," said Mitchell Nessa, a forensic scientist with the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab. "We tested it and it was positive for the presence of blood."

Blizzard's trial is expected to last a couple of weeks.
