Suspect in garage door opener burglaries arrested

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- An arrest has been made in a string of Ellensburg burglaries that started with the suspect stealing garage door openers. 36-year-old Richard Evans was booked Thursday afternoon.

Police say they've recovered many items that were stolen over the past few weeks. Evans has been booked into the Kittitas County Corrections Center. He is facing burglary, theft, and possession of stolen property charges.
