Super Bowl Sunday a boost for Yakima businesses
YAKIMA -- While many businesses are closed on Sunday, Action News found some Yakima restaurants were expecting major crowds for the Super Bowl.
Jackson's Sports Bar on Tieton Avenue has been taking reservations for a week and actually booked every table. They made sure to over-stock on beer and game day specials.
Fans headed out early today to get the best seat in the house, and the owner says they expect over 300 people to show up.
"Wish Seahawks were in it instead, then we'd see about 500 people," says owner, Steve Swanson.
They say Football Sundays are always good for business, but the Super Bowl normally brings in at least 10 percent more in profits.
