Sunnyside neighbors won't see higher utility rates

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- KIMA learned higher utility rates won't come to Sunnyside.
The city considered raising the sewer and water rates by three percent to make up for a $2 million budget shortfall.
Sunnyside council members decided against it.
They already increased ambulance fees and the utility tax rate when they passed the budget.
The average homeowner will pay about $20 more a year.
