WASHINGTON D.C. -- Sunnyside's Skyridge Farms received the "Outstanding Dairy Farm Sustainability Award" Tuesday in Washington D.C.
“I am excited and humbled and glad to receive the Sustainability Award,” said Dan DeGroot. “Our focus has always been on cow comfort, employee safety and farm productivity.”
“Dan DeGroot applied a holistic approach to making upgrades at Skyridge Farms – a method that has resulted in improved cow comfort, increased efficiencies and enhanced profitability. Skyridge Farms is proof that small steps add up,” said Erin Fitzgerald, Senior Vice President, Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, which aligns resources to offer consumers nutritious dairy products and ingredients, and promote the health of people and communities.
