Summer concerts could fill County Stadium

YAKIMA, Wash.-- New events are planned at Yakima County Stadium to make up for the loss of the Yakima Bears. The Bears moved to Oregon and left stadium managers with 38 empty days. State fair officials want to hold two or three big concerts along with corporate lunches and picnics. Turnout isn't expected to be as large as the baseball games. They expect to make the most money from concerts. No musicians have been hired yet for the concerts.
