Regional mountains struck with snow

WASHINGTON, OREGON -- The National Weather Service in Pendleton is expected snow showers across the Blue Mountains through Sunday night. Two to four inches are anticipated above 3000 feet.  As a result, plan for a slushy and snowy traverse through regional highways. 1-84 between Pendleton and La Grande and SR204 between Weston and Elgin may become more treacherous.

As for the Washington Cascades Mountain passes? As of late Sunday afternoon, Stevens Pass, White Pass and Snoqualmie Pass reported snow and slush. Traction tires were advised, and oversize vehicles were prohibited for Stevens and Snoqualmie. A mix of snow and rain is expected for all three locations at least through Tuesday.
